Wedding Choreography...
Make a great impression on your big day!
When you take to the dance floor as newly-weds, you want to look glamorous, like you’re fresh from the final heats of Strictly Come Dancing©! Dance Connection specialise in wedding choreography for the happy couple, and we aim to keep them happy too, in private coaching dedicated entirely to that first opening dance.
How many weeks before the wedding should you start coaching?
If you’re a beginner or thereabouts, at least six weeks, and allow for 2 x 1 hour sessions per week.
Wouldn’t just one hour session a week be enough?
It’s not as good. While two hours together would be too long, having two 1-hour sessions a week keeps everything fresh in your mind, so you’re not spending too much time trying to remember what you learned last week. Experience proves it’s the best learning plan.
What about music?
We recommend you bring a choice of music to your first session. Don’t limit yourself to just one track; if it’s very demanding it might be harder work than you’d want. Bring a choice, let us see you dance, then we can suggest what will have you looking amazing on the big day!
Any general ideas?
A Waltz is a favourite and is quite sedate. If you fancy fast, try a quickstep, or go slow and sexy with a Rumba. Don’t feel limited to Ballroom and Latin though – we’re happy to coach Disco, as well as Jazz and Jive. Whatever turns you on!
