Dance Connection offers inspiring teaching in all kinds of dance.
Our lively, friendly classes give the opportunity for learning, for practice and for the absorbing enjoyment of dance. All levels of proficiency are catered for, from beginners to advanced.
Do you want to mark your progress? Those who would like to can join our motivational IDTA amateur awards programme. It starts with a social dance award, advances to the technical gold award and reaches a pinnacle with International Supreme Awards.
We provide coaching for competitive dancing, both in groups and in one-to-one coaching.
We also offer private tuition for couples who prefer to get up to speed on their own, rather than in a group.
This service is in great demand for weddings! When the newly-wed couple get up to dance, it’s heart-turning to see them whirl away in stunning synchronicity. See our wedding choreography page for full details!
Children’s classes feature in a major way on our timetable. The awards programme, including rosettes for 3-8s and star dancer exams for 6-10s, extends all the way to international supreme award.
At Dance Connection, we like to provide the kind of dancing style that appeals to young people, so as well as Ballroom, Ballet and Tap there’s also Cheerleading, Formation Team Dancing and the ever-popular Streetdance. Streetdance – including styles such as Hip-Hop and Breakdancing – is physically quite demanding, so for the little ones we provide Freestyle, then they don’t miss the fun.
