Childrens Dance...
Dance is an exciting world for children. It keeps them happy, interested and involved with no need for TV, films, computers or expensive toys. Dancing is good for fitness, co-ordination and physical wellbeing. It’s also a whizz at getting kids to interact together, so dance is fantastic for their social development. And best of all, it is fun!!!
We cater for all ages of children, from tiny tots aged 4 to teenagers. We provide teaching at all levels, in many different styles of dance, including:
- Ballroom & Latin and Salsa
- Street Dance (freestyle for little ones aged 4-7)
- Modern Jazz
- Ballet
- Tap
- Cheerleading
- Formation Dance

Dance Connection promotes the fun part as much as any other element. Yes, there is discipline, and yes, there can be hard work and concentration, but our skills in keeping children’s interest and enjoyment running high are top-notch.
So is our standard of teaching. Chris Freeman, undefeated British Ballroom Champion, who has worked with stars of Coronation Street and on BBC TV, is our Dance Director and his focus is on helping children to enjoy their dancing.
Enjoying a fabulous rapport with children, Chris teaches them basic steps and then, if they want to progress beyond social dancing, he helps them achieve competition standards...
Children produce their best when their progress is identified and rewarded. We’re pleased to run a full medal awards programme. Medals are tested for and then presented twice a year with much pizzazz.
For Dance Connection pupils, dreams really can come true. Our students can go on to careers in dance, as performers or even as top class teachers working with celebrities. We provide professional qualifications as well as support, encouragement and belief; at Dance Connection, we help to make it happen.
